Communications Lab

I took Communications Lab (Comm Lab) in Fall 2020, which was provided by Intergrated Media Arts Department in New York University Shanghai. The course was directed by Professor Chang (Cici) Liu.

Comm Lab was a production-based course that students would experiment with Adobe Creative Suite to produce their own work in the context of digital imaging, audio, and video. Students would be evaluated based on four main projects and reading responses.

My final grade was A and two of my main projects were selected to be presented in the IMA Final Show.

Main Projects

Sound Visualization 

This project required students use only characters to create a poster, in which the content need to represent the image of a music.

Photo Diptych

This project maintained two parts. Part one requires students use digital camera to shoot photos. Then, students will use their own photography to create a collage in the Part Two.

This work was selected to be shown in the IMA Final Show.

Memory Soundscape

Students were required to use Adobe Audition to create a 60 seconds audio that represented one event in memory.
